Gram or Chickpea or Besan Nutrition facts!

Gram flour is a flour made from ground chickpeas, a legume otherwise known as chana dal. It is also known as chickpea flour, garbanzo flour, or besan (Bengali: বেসন beshon). Used in many countries, it is a staple ingredient in Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi cuisines, and, in the form of a paste with water or yoghurt, a popular facial exfoliant in the Indian Subcontinent. Moreover, when mixed with an equal proportion of water, can be used as an egg-replacer in vegan cooking.Chila (or chilla), a pancake made with gram flour batter, is a popular street and fast food in India.
Gram flour contains a high proportion of carbohydrates but no gluten. Despite this, in comparison to other flours, it has a relatively high proportion of protein.
Chick peas and bengal grams are used to make curries and are one of the most popular vegetarian foods in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UK. On the Indian subcontinent chickpeas are called Harbharaa in Marathi (the green variety, that is), kadale kaalu in Kannada, shanaga (శనగ) in Telugu, chana in Hindi , Chhola in Bengali and konda kadalai in Tamil,[8] where they are a major source of protein in a mostly vegetarian culture.

Gondh-Dry fruit Ladoo!

Our second home made product ' Gum-Dry fruit Ladoo' is made with puffed edible gum crystals, pure ghee, dryfruits and Indian ethnic spices.

This Ladoo is very healthy and nutrituous especially for pregnant women or for women who has borne child which helps in increasing their lactation. Usually a glass of milk is consumed after eating this in the early morning during breakfast.

The shelf life of this product is 8-10 days from the date of making.

We make two types of this ladoo one with 'Sugar' and the other with 'Jaggery'. Both taste different as jaggery is subtle in tasting sweet.

'Gondh-Dry fruit Burfis' are also available made with jaggery .
